The more accumulated, the wider the possibilities. The virtual commander will build buildings, develop military bases, pump up the army and extract resources. There will be a small territory in front of you, from which you will have to build your own empire. The gamer, according to the classics, will have to choose a side and go to this faction. Each of them represents a combat army with a commander. The locals have long been divided into three castes: Atreides, Ordos and Harkons. Arrakis is an ancient little–known planet, which is a tasty morsel for the peoples living on it. The name of the project itself indicates the place where the events of the addictive game will develop. If you miss pixel worlds, "old school" mechanics and a minimum of details, then welcome.
This fascinating game was released back in 1992 and became the ancestor of this popular genre. This model is not to be uploaded or sold in any form and is intended for personal use only.When it comes to "old-school" strategies, the cult Dune is the first to be remembered. When assembled, this piece measured ~20 cm from front to tail, and has a wingspan of ~45cm when the wings are fully extended. It also is sized to be somewhat in scale with 28mm miniatures (as shown in the photos above). This simple model features hinged wings which can be posed in different positions. A decidedly simple piece which we started with and still gets quite a lot of love till this day! :) It's quite a blast from the past also, as one of our very very earliest model was the Windtrap from Dune II. And so, we just had to model and bring our own version into real life.
Used exclusively by House Atreides in the game, these exotic vehicles zipped all over the battlemap by flapping its wings. There was always something about the Ornithoper from the classic favorite Dune II game, which felt so cool.
